ECOVACS DEEBOT X1 OMNI - This one can see where it's going

So I have a droid army cleaning my house, so I don't have to. And they are brilliant. I have a Deebot Osmo vacuuming the sweeping the floors downstairs & I empty it once a week. I also have Deebot N8+ cleaning the carpets upstairs, and it empties itself into a dustbin, and I only have to empty that once every couple of months when the ecovacs app prompts me to do it. And I own a robot mop that shines the floors for me once a week; it has oscillating brushes, huge water tanks, and it self-cleans.

But let me introduce you to the newest addition to my droid army. This is the Ecovacs Deebot Omni X1. The X1 does everything my other robots do & more. And thanks to all the technological upgrades that Ecovacs have made, it's better in almost every area.

The Omni X1 picks up more dust thanks to its 5000Pa of suction power; It empties into a 3L dust bag at the dock when it is done. It has twin oscillating mops that apply 6 Neutons of downward pressure & perform 180revs per minute & retract intelligently when the X1 detects different surface types... it has 4 litre clean and dirty water tanks in the dock as well... and it will it will return to base periodically during its duty to empty & refill the water. And when it's done it will self-clean and self-dry. So that it is ready for it's next cleaning mission... and it does it with style.

Because Ecovacs has enlisted the help of industrial designer Jacob Jensen, Who is most well known for designing hi-end and hifi speakers for Bang & Olufson.

So Ecovacs have ensured that this state-of-the-art home assistant has a nice clean look and looks good when doing your dirty work...And in my opinion, it really does look good.

So now let's talk about what this newer model does that the others don't. The Omni X1 can recognise human voices and carry out orders when you use the wake word. OK, Yiko...

And thanks to the True mapping 2.0 and the mounted laser turret system on its back. It can map your home ten times faster than older generation robot vacs and with 4x more accuracy. And once you have mapped your space, The X1 will generate a 3D map thanks to AIVI 3.0+ tech & truedect 3D 2.0 sensor on its front.

And then, once you have labelled the areas of your home, you can use the new voice recognition AI to put it to work & tell it exactly where to go. So this means you no longer have to push any buttons or even get your phone out of your pocket if you want your new dust & dirt terminator to carry out a hit.

One area where my previous droids have caused a problem for me in the past has been when they encounter wires left on the floor and objects like the dog's water bowl... there's few things that bother me as much as wet socks and tangled cables.

Ecovacs have introduced some new and necessary hardware upgrades to this new Deebot that attempts to tackle these kinds of problems. The X1 uses its AIVI 3.0 technology and its built in camera & 3D mapping tech to avoid obstacles intelligently.

But not only is the built-in camera useful for object avoidance. It can be used for reconnaissance of your property. So you can remotely patrol your home from anywhere in the world and see if someone is throwing a house party at your pad while you're on holiday, for example. And if they are, you can speak through the Omni X1's onboard speaker and let them have it! Of course, that's just one use case.

So take it from me, a tech fan who has been using robot vacuums for a few years. The Ecovacs Deebot Omni X1 just might be the most artificially intelligent & greatest robot vacuum and mop to date...

X1 Omni is so smart, it can integrate with your smart home with Alexa or google assistant. You can map multiple floors or add it to your existing fleet of droids as I have. You set virtual barriers for no-go zones in your property. Out of the box, it is a kind of silent assassin when it comes to noise levels.
