RETRO FLIP PHONE TIP

Remember the good old days of flip phones? You could simply flip open your phone to answer a call and flip it shut to end the call. Well, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 brings that nostalgic functionality back! Here’s how you can enable it:

1. Open the Phone app.

2. Tap the three dots in the upper-right corner to access Settings.

3. Look for "Flip Options" and activate "Open phone to answer calls."

Now, whenever your phone rings and it's closed, just flip it open to answer. To end a call, simply flip the phone shut. Make sure the “Close phone to end calls” option is also turned on for a seamless retro experience.

YOUR CALLING CARD

Your phone can do more than just make calls—it can make your calls more personal and engaging. Here's how to set up a custom profile card:

1. Open the Phone app.

2. Tap your name at the top of the screen.

3. Go to "Create Profile Card."

From here, you can upload a photo of yourself or use AI to create a fun cartoon version. The Portrait Studio feature offers options like 3D cartoon, watercolor, and sketch styles.

You can also customize the text that appears on the profile card, adjusting the font, color, and more. Once you’re satisfied with your creation, hit "Preview" to see how it looks and then "Done" to save.

Take your contact management to the next level with Bixby. In the same profile card section, you can:

- Add relationships, such as family members and friends.

- Set reminders based on your location, like turning on Wi-Fi when you’re at home.

- Input your medical information and emergency contacts for quick access.

Personalizing your profile card and utilizing these features not only makes your phone more functional but also enhances your overall user experience.

So there you have it—some exciting ways to enhance your Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 experience with just a few tweaks.

Let's dive into customizing your profile picture for your Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6! Here’s how you can make it truly yours:

1. Open Your Profile Settings: Tap on your profile picture. You’ll see a small pencil icon next to it—tap that to start customizing.

2. Choose Your Image Source: You can either take a new photo with your camera, select an image from your gallery, or even create a fun AR Emoji.

3. Update Your Card: If you’re not satisfied with the current drawing or image, feel free to change it to something you like.

Once you’ve personalized your profile card, you can easily share your contact information.

Sharing Your Profile Information

1. Access the Share Option: Go to your phone book and find your number at the top of the page. Tap the “Share” option in the bottom right corner.

2. Create a QR Code: For a more modern touch, select “Create QR Code.” This generates a QR code containing all your contact details and the image you set up. When someone scans this code, they can instantly save your information to their phone.

3. Download and Share: You can also download your profile card to your device and share it through apps like WhatsApp.

HOW TO TAKE BETTER SELFIES

If you’re still using the inner display camera for selfies, you’re missing out. The inner camera may be convenient, but it’s not the best quality. Think of it like driving a Ford Fiesta when you’ve got a Porsche in the garage. Here’s how to make the most of your primary camera for selfies:

1. Access Your Camera Shortcut: Look for the camera shortcut on your screen. You might also have a shortcut by double-pressing the side button, unless you’ve customized it as shown in part one of this series.

2. Use the Main Camera for Selfies: Drag the camera shortcut to the center of the screen to open it. You’ll now be using the primary camera, which is significantly better than the inner display camera.

3. Take Your Shot: Raise your palm to trigger a timer, use the volume rocker to snap a photo, or tap the screen to capture your selfie.

The primary camera is five times better than the inner display selfie camera, so trust me—this is the way to go for high-quality selfies.

Now that you know how to set up your profile card and take stunning selfies, you’re ready to get the most out of your Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6.

BETTER VERTICAL VIDS

Level up your selfie videos and create stunning vertical content for TikTok and other social platforms with this tip:

Enhanced Selfie Videos with Auto Framing

1. Open Your Camera: Access your camera as shown earlier.

2. Activate Flex Mode: Partially open your phone to the "flex view" position, where it's half-open. You'll notice a little yellow icon appear—this activates auto framing.

3. Enable Auto Framing for Photos and Videos: Auto framing works for both photos and videos. It automatically zooms in and out to keep the subject in focus.

For videos, there's an additional step:

Switch to Video Mode: Swipe across to the video section.

Activate Auto Framing: Tap the dropdown in the top right corner. Look for the icon with a dot and a square around it. Tap it to enable auto framing for video.

Perfect for Dynamic Shots

When filming a person, such as during a TikTok dance, the auto framing feature ensures the camera stays locked onto the subject, adjusting the frame as needed. This is the optimal way to shoot vertical videos with your Samsung Galaxy Z Flip

As mentioned in the previous tip, avoid using the inner camera for selfies and videos. Instead, use the superior primary cameras on your device for the best quality.

With these tips, you can create professional-looking videos and photos that stand out on social media. Enjoy capturing your moments with the best tools!

BETTER PHOTOS OF FRIENDS

Here's a tip to help you capture nicer photos of your family and friends, especially if they tend to pull funny or awkward faces right as you snap the picture.

Dual Viewfinder for Better Photos

1. Open Your Camera: Start by opening the camera in the open view mode.

2. Use the Rear Camera: Ensure you're using the rear camera for the best quality.

3. Activate the Cover Screen: Look at the top right corner of the camera interface. You'll see an icon that looks like a little square. Tap it to activate the cover screen on the back of the phone.

How It Works

When the cover screen is activated, your family and friends will have their own little viewfinder on the back of the phone. This allows them to see themselves and adjust their poses, ensuring they look their best. This feature helps everyone be more prepared and comfortable, leading to better, more natural photos.

Why You'll Love It

Even if you're guilty of pulling funny faces yourself, this tip ensures everyone can see how they look in real-time, helping to capture the perfect moment without the last-second awkwardness.

With this simple trick, your photos of family and friends will look more polished and professional. Enjoy taking better pictures with this handy feature!

BETTER CAMERA DETAIL

Here's a valuable tip for maximizing the quality of your photos with the Galaxy Z Flip 6's primary camera. This device uses a technique called pixel binning to combine pixels and gather more light, which is particularly useful in low-light conditions. However, when you're in a well-lit environment and want to capture every detail, you can utilize the full 50-megapixel capability of the primary sensor.

1. Open Your Camera App: Start by opening the camera app on your Galaxy Z Flip 6.

2. Select 50MP Mode: At the top of the screen, you'll see an icon labeled "12M" (representing 12 million pixels). Tap this icon to switch to "50MP" mode, enabling the camera to use all 50 million pixels.

When to Use 50MP Mode

This mode is ideal for capturing highly detailed photos in good lighting conditions, such as:

- Scenic Landscapes: Perfect for holidays or beautiful scenery.

- Daylight Shots: Anytime the sun is out, and you want to capture vivid details.

Things to Keep in Mind

- File Size: Photos taken in 50MP mode will have larger file sizes, so make sure you have enough storage space.

- Zooming: The more you zoom in, the fewer megapixels will be utilized, so for the best detail, avoid excessive zooming.
