Have you heard of 4K? What about 48K... Check it out here

So Sony are out pioneering once again with another WORLDS FIRST. This time they have managed to harness the power of 12 Xperia Z5 Smartphones & 8 well known instagrammers to put together this unique video.

All this took place at the Rise Ski & Snowboard Festival in Grenoble, home to the largest skiable glacier in Europe.

The Xperia Z5 has many attributes but SONY put a key focus on its Camera tech. With super fast auto focus, X5 Digital zoom at the disposal, the well known instagrammers put the Z5 to the test...Not sure why I wasn't invited though.

Instagrammers who took part included - @akusepp, @le_petit_francais,@christianmcld, @mesvoyagesaparis, @s_timmung,@ahtlaqdmm, @peppyhere and @berriestagram.

So here it is the Worlds First 48K 360 video. There is only one problem. YouTube will not allow a video upload of 48K. Which means SONY had no option other than to upload in 4K, which is far more than ok by todays standards. I'm sure one day when 48K becomes the norm we will see this video in its entirety. For now check this out and don't forget to use the little arrows in the top corner to look around .

Also if you're interested in seeing how I got on with the Xperia Z5 on my mission to Google HQ London. You can check this video out. Xperia Z5 Vs Oneplus 2 - Camera Test . It was a good day and a fun little experiment.

Ever wondered how the Oneplus 2 camera compares to the Xperia Z5...? * If you enjoy this video hit subscribe and you will be one of the Finest Subscribers known to Mankind! In this review you will see me testing the two handsets video, audio and photographic features in bright light and low light scenarios.

Xperia C6 - Quicky Leak

it's another WhatGear Quicky leak! So word on the Street is that we will see an exciting addition to extend the Xperia range into 2016.

It's the Xperia C6. So we know for sure is that this phone will come in pink judging by the leaked picture. Which could be an indicatation that Sony are targeting the female market...possibly.

We heard that the C6 will not be ultra in size, like last years C5 ultra with 6" display. Unless they choose to release an ultra version. Inside it will likely have a 5.5" 1080p display with 3D touch but apple might say it is insignificant in comparison to the Force touch.

This phone screen reaches almost edge to edge. Which some might describe as bezeless, but to me it looks remarkably like the Z3 bezel and general design. What do you think?

Inside it will most probably have a MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core SoC which means 'system on chip' if you were wondering, and possibly 3gb ram.

With Sony's super weapon being its camera tech. We can expect to see at least a 13MP rear shooter and a hopeful 5mp wide angle front shooter. Utilising Sony's Exmor RS sensor technology.

Also being a Sony this phone could support PS remote play, NFC, Hi Res audio maybe and be dust resistant and waterproof.  One question though does Sony have anything else up their sleeve? Let's ask Batman...

Thanks for watching this quicky leak. Remember to look out every week on Friday for new WhatGear Review.

Z5 picks Leaked ahead of the Berlin IFA

Barely two weeks before Sony’s IFA press conference, alleged photos showing a dummy Xperia Z5 unit have hit the web. The latest pictures confirm that the Xperia Z5 will arrive with a design very similar to the Xperia Z3+, with only a few minor changes.

The pictures show the Xperia Z5 dummy unit inside a protective case, so not all design details can be seen clearly. From whatever that is clearly visible, it appears that Sony has made some minor design changes that could help differentiate the Z5 from the company’s current flagship smartphone the Xperia Z3+. The most significant difference is the new power button. Gone is the distinctive circular power button that we have now grown familiar to. Instead, we see a more old school shaped power button, with an embedded fingerprint scanner.

Complete specs of the Xperia Z5 haven’t been revealed yet but the smartphone is expected to arrive with a 1080p resolution display, Snapdragon 810 SoC, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal memory, and an upgraded rear camera.

There's nothing compact about this Sony Xperia Z5 Compact leak | TechRadar

There's nothing compact about this Sony Xperia Z5 Compact leak | TechRadar

While it's difficult to verify the image, it does seem to point at a design that is in line with the Xperia Z-branded phones from Sony so far.

But bigger than the promo shot, the Dutch website has also seemingly gotten its hands on the Xperia Z5 Compact handset itself.

While it hasn't posted a photo of the handset, the site did include the leaked image from ViziLeaks that popped up about a month ago, saying the design of the Xperia Z5 Compact is in line with these images.

Sony Releases 'Metal Gear Solid V'-Themed Xperia J1: The Phantom Pain Edition : PERSONAL TECH : Tech Times

Sony Releases 'Metal Gear Solid V'-Themed Xperia J1: The Phantom Pain Edition : PERSONAL TECH : Tech Times

Metal Gear Solid fans may want to reflect their love of the franchise in things like T-shirts and posters, however, now they can show off their love with aMetal Gear Solid V version of the Sony Xperia J1.

The device is called the Sony Xperia J1: Phantom Pain edition, and it features an Outer Heaven graphic on the back of the phone, which is subtle and not too overbearing.

Of course, the MGS theme doesn't end with the graphic. The device will also feature customMGS-themed ringtones and wallpapers that are based on the new Metal Gear Solid game. A limited edition artbook also comes pre-installed on the phone, and it is accessible via the Sony File Commander app.

Last but not least is the fact that buyers of the device will get a 1,000 yen ($8.08 USD) voucher that can be put toward buying Metal Gear Solid comics.

As far as hardware goes, the device remains identical to the original Sony Xperia J1, which is certainly not a bad device. For those not familiar with the specs of the device, it includes a 4.3-inch 720p display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of expandable storage.

It also features a 2,300 mAh battery and a 20.7 MP rear-facing camera. The front-facing camera of the device is 2.2 MP.

Unfortunately, it seems as though the device will be limited to Japan and will be priced at 59,800 yen.

Of course, the announcement of the device comes right before the highly anticipated release of the Metal Gear Solid V game, set to be released on September 1. A trailer for the game was recently released, showing that the game could be set as the conclusion of the series. The game will be released to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360. An online component of the game will also be available, however, it won't be offered until October 6 for consoles and sometime in January for PC users.
