Ecovacs Deebot N8+ review - Best Self Emptying Robot Vacuum?

On a scale of one to ten. How much do you hate housework? Let me know in the comments. For me, it's 11. I'm not a fan; that's why Ecovacs reached out to me for a review of the Deebot N8+ video. It was a stone-cold hell yeh! Because to this day one, the most valuable gadgets ever sent to me is the deebot Osmo 920...it vacuums the ground floor of my place every day at 6pm, like clockwork. No complaints; it just does it... And it does a good job.

The only downside is having to empty almost every day. But now I have the all-new Deebot Osmo N8+. And what makes N8+ even better than my beloved 920 is it empties itself. This means I can free up even more time... For more important things. Like watching TV.

Anyway, let me show you some of the tech hardware onboard this starship enterprise looking vacuum cleaner setup. So this is the base. The N8 will use its laser guidance systems to always find back once it's completed its daily mission. And the tower will beam up all the dust from the N8+ 240ml dust bin into the 2.5lt bag after each cleaning cycle.

There are two dust bags in the box, and you will need to buy replacements as they are not reusable... But the good news is they can last up to a month.

In terms of power, it has 2300PA of suction & the N8+ can run 1hr 50 minutes continuously on a Full Charge & thanks to its 360 laser mapping turret on the top. Which now has double the range and is four times more accurate than my 920. This cold, calculating machine will hit around 94% of the reachable floor space.. every day.

It has a slam sensor, so it will get as close as humanly possible or robotically possible to walls and table legs and stuff. And if you have hardwood floors & you don't mind getting your hands dirty. You can fill it with water and a little cleaning agent & attach a mop.

You can also empty it manually; there's a tool to cut away debris if the brush gets tangled. You can remove, clean, or replace the filters too. Now you might be thinking, some of my floors are wood, some is carpet. If that's you, then best to just stick to the vacuum functionality.

And you'll be happy to know it will switch the suction power depending on the surface it's on.

Also, the N8 has an off-road suspension on the wheels and the main brush. So it can traverse across most surfaces without getting stuck and it has 4 falls detection sensors. So it won't face plant don't the stairs.
