JBL Flip 6 | Price, specs and release date
The JBL Flip 6 is finally here & packing a £129 price tag at launch. The Filp 4 is still one of my personal go-to portable speakers to this day. The design has’t changed much. Apart from the bigger, bolder JBL logo instead of the smaller badge from previous iterations.
One huge upgrade from previous generations of the FLIP it now the Flip 6 is IP67. This means that now the brand new Flip 6 is now more water and dust resistant. Which is especially useful if you need a speaker for the beach.
When it comes to colour options, there are many to choose from. Colours include Dusty Pink, Grey Stone, River Teal, Fiesta Red, Ocean Blue, Midnight Black, Steel White, Forest Green and Squad.
Some other significant upgrades you should know about is that now the new Flip supports BT 5.1. Which ultimately means better bluetooth stability and connectivity range. Also the racetrack driver is accompanied by a soft dome tweeter with it’s own amplifier.
On previous models the Racetrack driver was responsible for the entire frequency range. With the new upgrades that JBL have made, you’ll notice a better separation between the bass, mids and Hi’s.
The battery size is the same as before. So you’ll still get the impressive 12 Hour playback from Flip 6. Make sure you’re subscribed to WhatGear reviews for the full video review.
